MARYVILLE, MO (2009-12-08) Northwest Missouri's main electric provider is ready to meet the blizzard.
Kansas City Power and Light has crews on standby as part of their "Storm Evaluation Response Plan", or "SERP". KCP&L spokeswoman Kelly Heinds says crews are ready depending on the level of storm severity. She adds if there are power outages, residents can also act. KCP&L doesn't anticipate many outages considering this isn't an ice event, but if you experience one the number to call is 1-888-LIGHT KC.
