BEATRICE, MO. (2009-12-04) Officials say no one was hurt fighting an overnight blaze that destroyed a family's home east of Beatrice.

A man who lived there was in garage when the fire began in the house, and his wife and children were in town when the fire began around 8:30 last night. Officials say about 30 firefighters from several departments were called out to help, and it took about 30 minutes for the blaze to be brought under control. A state fire investigator is looking into the cause. Two blaze killed two family dogs.
