MARYVILLE, MO (2008-12-18) The city of Maryville was named a "dream" community this year.
Now, residents are starting to see the results.
Grant money worth $132,000 has been awarded to the city for home repair opportunities.
The city will determine which of 7 homes in the downtown area will be repaired and a maximum of 20 thousand dollars will go toward the home repairs.
Maryville will take applications from interested homeowners, who must occupy the house as their primary residence and the total annual income for the household must be less than $52,000.
Some of the repairs could include weatherization, repairs and replacement, or environmental upgrades, for example.
Resident wondering if their home is within Maryville's downtown "dream" boundary can call City Hall - that number is 562-8001.
