MARYVILLE, MO (2008-12-04) A northwest Missouri veteran remembers a very special anniversary this weekend.
Sunday is the "Day of Infamy"- the 67th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
And Wilbur Wright was there.
He now lives in Fairfax, but joined the navy the day after graduating high school.
His ship pulled into Pearl the day before the attack, and he says as he was on the deck of his mine sweeper in the thick of the japanese assault when a hail of machine gun fire missed him by about 3 feet.
Wright says one of the eeriest memories is the fact that one of his bosses actually predicted the attack.
Wright will be speaking about his experiences at the Brownville forum on the anniversary- that's this Sunday starting at 2.
