MARYVILLE, MO (2008-12-05) An historic mansion in St. Joseph will be ready for the holidays.
The holiday lighting ceremony at the Wyeth-Tootle mansion begins tonight.
Festivities begin with the Mayor's processional parade at city hall at 5-45 tonight…which will feature a live nativity.
The community is then invited to see the inside of the mansion where the halls will be fully decked.
The evening will also feature the Hosea Elementary school bell choir. Amy Grier is the education director with the St. Joseph museums…and says the community will get to see the mansion in its Christmas glory.
There is no admission and the event is open to the public.
Also downtown tomorrow night is the "Christmas Carol" presented at the Missouri Theatre.
The next day the museum will host "Nature's Noel" allowing kids to design crafts for wildlife such as birdfeeders.
That event is from one until four tomorrow afternoon.
