Due to increased traffic flow, and a rising number of accidents, the Missouri State Highway Patrol has increased its presence on Interstate 29 in Andrew and Buchanan counties.
These increased accidents are a result of the highway being blocked, and Patrolmen are hoping that an increased enforcement program will help keep motorists safe. Public Information Officer for the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Sergeant Sheldon Lyon, says the main goal of this program is to increase motorist safety.
