Thanks to a new law that goes into effect Tuesday, cell phone users will now enjoy the same protection from telemarketers as land line users.
The measure prevents telemarketers from soliciting via cell phone, text messages and fax machines. Missouri's Attorney General Chris Koster says the ban on cell phone soliciting is the most important aspect of the law.
The bill also bars companies from using fake aliases on caller IDs. There is a fine of up to $ 5,000 per violation.© Copyright, KXCV
