The Southwest Iowa Theater Group is performing "Send Me No Flowers" at the Park Playhouse in Shenandoah next month.
The play is about a hypochondriac, George Kimball. Playing the role of George Kimball is Nick Johansen who says Kimball overhears his doctor talking about a dying patient and thinks it's him and that he only has 2 weeks to live.
The play was adapted into a film in 1964 starring Rock Hudson and Doris Day. Johanson says the performers have been rehearsing for a short 5 weeks and will be presenting the show on 2 different weekends in September. Shows are September 7th, 8th and 9th and September 14th, 15th and 16th. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees are at 2pm. Tickets are on sale beginning Friday, August 31st for season ticket holders and Monday, September 3rd for the general public.© Copyright, KXCV
