A special fundraising event for the New Nodaway Humane Society is coming up Monday evening at the Maryville Aquatic Center.

Pet Owners are encouraged to take their dogs to the Aquatic Center Monday evening for a dip in the pool before the facility closes for the year. Spokesperson for the New Nodaway Humane Society, Will Murphy, says the 3rd annual event is turning into a great fundraiser for the organization.

Murphy says there will be several competitions for the dogs including Best Dog Swim Suit, Best Dog Pool Lap, Best Water Trick and Best Overall Trick. The Paws-at-la-Poola will be held Monday from 5 until 7 o'clock at the Maryville Aquatic Center.
