Jefferson Board sets levy

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (2012-08-22)

The Jefferson C-123 Board of Education last night set the tax rates for the 2012-13 fiscal year budget.

Superintendent Rob Dowis says property owners in the Jefferson school district will see a slight decrease in this year's levy.

In other action from last night's Jefferson Board meeting, Dowis says the board did not make a decision on placing a bond issue on the November ballot but may instead consider the April election. The issue narrowly failed this month during the August election.
