The U-S Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency is in the middle of a 2-day full-scale response exercise at the Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, Nebraska.
FEMA Region Seven Chief Technological Hazard Manager, Ron McCabe says the exercise is completed every 2 years by federal, state and local public safety organizations and the Cooper Nuclear Station.
McCabe believes the surrounding counties in the four-state region benefit from the 2-day program.The Cooper Nuclear Station exercise concludes today. A public meeting will be held Friday in Auburn, Nebraska at the Nebraska Public Power District Facility Auditorium to discuss the 2-day operation. The event will begin at 10 o'clock.© Copyright, KXCV
