ST. JOSEPH, MO (2011-08-02)

A 3 year old is dead after authorities respond to a St. Joseph hotel.

The police there say they arrived at the Ramada Inn's water park on Frederick Avenue shortly after 5 last night. Commander Jim Conners of the St. Joseph Police Department says the child was then transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center where he passed away.

Conners says an autopsy is being conducted today in Topeka Kansas.
