Our region's largest city is typical of the damage received across the region.

As of midnight officials at Missouri Western State University said they were going through the buildings looking for wind or water damage but only had reports of downed trees. A dispatcher with the Buchanan County Sheriff's Department said damage reports kept coming in.

The Sheriff's Department in Buchanan county had no initial reports of injuries.
