MARYVILLE, MO (2011-08-11)
Community leaders across north Missouri continue pushing for better broadband Internet access in the region.
A planning session held yesterday in Maryville brought together K through 12 and higher ed educators, agricultural interests, and local government officials to discuss rural broadband in rural Missouri. Two of the issues of concern are not just availability, but also speed for functions like video conferencing. Tye Parsons is the executive director of the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of governments. They have been working on broadband access for years and he says rural Missouri can't be left behind.MOBroadbandnow.com"
