MARYVILLE, MO (2011-08-24)
In less than a week Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville begins another academic year.
This morning university president Dr. John Jasinski welcomed staff and faculty with a presentation on the institution's current state of affairs. Jasinski says Northwest will receive a record number of freshmen, and with internal budget changes and efforts within, the Maryville school is looking good despite a 12% cut in funding during the last 2 years.
Jasinski says three focus points for Northwest the next couple of years will be strengthening math and science curriculum, improving the campus environment, and ensuring an economical and developmental community impact.© Copyright, KXCV
