NODAWAY COUNTY, MO (2011-08-23)
Cleanup continues this week from Thursday night's historic windstorm around Nodaway county.
One of the recovery sites is the Benedictine sisters of perpetual adoration monastery in Clyde. Although buildings were damaged, spokeswoman Kelley Baldwin says there were no injuries, partially because of staff's quick thinking.
Baldwin says more than 40 windows throughout the monastery's campus were destroyed, including historical stained glass windows. Still, Baldwin says the sisters are counting their blessings.© Copyright, KXCV
