Missouri's governor is trying to drum up support for his Missouri jobs package ahead of September's special legislative session.
Governor Nixon's plan calls for an investment program for high-tech companies, cutting red tape for businesses, and making Missouri a hub for exporting internationally. It also sets up high-tech data centers across the state to entice IT companies to move here. And Nixon says a key component in paying for all of it will be to revamp the state tax credits.
Republicans in the state have put forth a nearly identical economic proposal, with the addition of incentives to attract college and amateur sporting events to the state.© Copyright, KXCV
