Maryville School Levy

The Maryville R-2 School Board raises the tax levy again.

The district's operating levy actually dropped slightly, but the debt service levy went up a nickel per a hundred dollars assessed valuation. The total levy is now four dollars and 97.58 cents. Maryville superintendent Larry Linthacum says that's in line with the guidance they have been given by the state.

With the levy the Maryville schools budget is expected to have about a $148,000 increase.
