MARYVILLE, MO (2011-08-16)
More than half a million dollars are on the way to Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville to help recruit the next generation of Computing Science majors.
The money comes from the National Science Foundation and will be used primarily for scholarships, as well as for related programs on campus and student field trips. Dr. Merry McDonald is a professor at the university who co-wrote the grant project and says the focus is "Socially Relevant" computing projects that students can work on.
