MARYVILLE, MO (2010-08-12) It looks like the final phases of Maryville's downtown upgrade will have to wait until next year.
Members of the Grass-Roots "Campaign for Community Renewal" gave city council an update during this week's meeting. The 7 year project has put in new sidewalks, crossing nodes, and period style iron work around about half of the courthouse square in Maryville. President Jim Blackford told council members it's the timeline after bids for the concrete and street work that will push the work until next spring. Once started, the final downtown distric upgrades are expected to take about 3 to 4 months to complete.
