MARYVILLE, MO (2010-08-19) A Rabid bat has been captured by the Nodaway County health department after biting a resident on August 13th.
They are asking residents to use caution and follow some simple tips in regards to bats and potential exposure to Rabies. Nodaway County health department director Della Rhoades says a potential danger exists not just outdoors, but indoors as well. The health department suggests using extreme caution in dealing with all unfamiliar animals to reduce the chances of exposure.
