MARYVILLE, MO (2010-08-06) Maryville is one of three new communities a group of University of Missouri medical students will soon descend upon as part of a rural training program for future physicians.
The new training sites will be located in Maryville, Lebanon, and West Plains. 21 students will spend up to six months training in those towns in the coming academic year. They'll be mentored by local doctors. The university now has Area Health Education Centers in Poplar Bluff, Rolla, St. Joseph and Springfield.
