CARROLL/LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MO. (2010-08-25) The NRCS has created the "Carroll/Livingston lower grand Mississippi river basin healthy watersheds initiative".
This afternoon Livingston County landowner Melvin Littrell becomes the first to sign a contract with the project. This is one of 12 projects to help Missouri crop producers with conservation. The goal is to reduce runoff from AG land. The Carroll/Livingston project will share in 22 million federal dollars during the next 5 years to operate the effort in North Central Missouri.
