MOUND CITY, MO. (2010-08-18) The Mound City board of aldermen table a bid for emergency sirens but accept one for city hall renovations in Mound City.
Two bids were received for the siren project. One from Schultz Electric was straight forward but the other from Nauman Construction came in under the first one but the board was unsure what all it included. Members tabled awarding it until Nauman could be contacted for clarification. Only one bid was submitted for the city hall renovation project. It's from Hugh Nauman Construction for just under $79,000. Members accepted the bid on the condition they could use $20,000 of the cost from the city's health fund since part of the renovations include asbestos removal. The Mound City attorney is checking into that possibility.
