CAMERON, MO. (2010-08-03) Cameron residents can expect more testing this month from environmental protection agency investigators.
They're returning around mid-August to take more samples around the soccer complex. That's a 7 acre site on the west side of the city. This will be the second time investigators have sampled the soccer complex which was built on a former site where trains would unload materials that were eventually shipped to the rockwool insulation plant. Earlier samples from the plant showed levels of contaminates but the EPA says they weren't high enough to cause a string of brain cancer reports throughout Cameron which prompted the investigation.
