TRENTON, MO. (2010-08-24) The Green Hills community action agency in Trenton wins 3 national awards.

The three awards come in the areas of job creation, green jobs, and energy efficiency. Green Hills has created several projects in the Trenton area that garnered the recognition, including a community garden that provided more than 500 families with garden seeds, a 200 outdoor clothes line and drying rack project called "Fire Your Clothes Dryer" and an electric consumption education program for 200 homes across Northern Missouri. Green Hills says the three projects have created 21 new "Green" Jobs. The national award will give Green Hills nearly $5,000 as well as an all-expense paid trip to Boston for the awards ceremony.
