MARYVILLE, MO (2010-08-20) The future of colleges and universities in our Missouri region will be financially challenging the next few years, but administrators are investigating what they can control to shape higher education's future.

This week college presidents met at a summit with governor Jay Nixon at the state capital. Northwest Missouri State's president Dr. John Jasinski says the governor outlined a 4 goal compact. Missouri budget officials are predicting a nearly half billion dollar shortfall in next year's state budge.
