ALBANY, MO (2010-08-31) A small Northwest Missouri School District ahs made a big leap in technology.
Middle school math students in Albany are using E-Readers this year instead of textbooks. The notebook-sized electronic pads are loaded with math books which the students are leaning from and able to carry with them and even take home to study. About 100 were donated to the Albany School District by Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. Albany superintendent Bryan Prewitt says he hopes to eventually move the E-Readers into science classes as well.
