MARYVILLE, MO (2010-08-18) It's Official: the June flooding throughout Northwest Missouri has resulted in a federal disaster declaration.
This means federal money can be used to re-develop damaged areas like roadways and levees. It does not apply to residents seeking funding for individual assistance. The Counties under the federal declaration include Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Putnam, Sullivan, and Worth Counties. Officials from "FEMA" are expected to be on-site in each of these counties in the coming weeks.
