Chillicothe Child Hit

CHILLICOTHE, MO (2010-08-31) Chillicothe police are asking for the public's help in a hit and run yesterday morning where a child waiting for the school bus was injured.

Police say it happened in the area of clay and peacher streets in Chillicothe. They say a passing car hit the child. The driver got out, then hopped back in and took off. The victim suffered only minor injuries. In the collision the left part of the passenger side mirror broke, and was left as evidence at the scene. Police are looking for a car from the mid to late 90's possibly a Lumina that is white or light cream colored. Anyone with information is asked to call the Chillicothe police department.
