MARYVILLE, MO (2010-08-02) Two North Missouri business leaders are helping with economic strategy for Missouri.
The two members are out of more than 40 representatives serving on Missouri governor Nixon's economic growth committee. Nearly all the others are from Kansas City, St. Louis, and Southern Missouri. The "Missouri Strategic Initiative for Economic Growth" is working at innovative ideas to get Missouri's economy moving again. Serving on the committee is Joann Bunten from Walsworth Publishing company in Marceline and Larry Gardner, an account from Kirksville. The group met late last week, where governor Nixon charged them to develop a 5-year economic plan for the State. A report on the state's 5-year economic plan is expected in December.
