MARYVILLE, MO (2009-08-17) A special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is set for this Morning.

It's the official opening of highway 136 East of Maryville, making the connection between the Mozingo Trails System and the developing Trails System in Maryville. The highway 136 project not only resurfaced the road, but widened the shoulders, creating a Hike/Bike trail connecting the Mozingo Recreation Area to Maryville at a fraction of the cost it would have cost the city. After this Morning's Ribbon Cutting, an inaugural bicycle ride will take place to mark the new amenity. The Ribbon Cutting is set for 10 this Morning at the Mozingo Trails South trailhead that's just East of the cemetery on highway 136.
