PICKERING, MO (2009-08-26) The City of Pickering is awarded a much needed grant to help with various improvements projects.

The $334,000 public needs grant has been approved under the Community Development Block Grant, CDBG. The CDBG, administered by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, provides grants for a variety of public works and economic development projects. The funds will be used to repair streets and storm water drainage system, focusing on the inadequate drainage of the current system in Pickering.
