MARYVILLE, MO (2009-08-31) Today's start of the New Academic Year at Northwest Missouri State doesn't just bring a new president of the school, but a guiding theme.

Administrators officially unveiled The University's theme of "Engage", "Ignite", "Illuminate", and "Educate". The theme is designed to inspire internal change on the campus moving forward, also helping out Northwest Students and Constituents. New Northwest President Dr. John Jasinski says he hopes the four terms will have a wide ranging impact. Nearly 7,000 students at Northwest Missouri State University are starting the school year today.
