MARYVILLE, MO (2009-08-11) The new leader at Heartland Hospital is now on the job.

Doctor Mark Laney is in his second week at our region's largest hospital, making the rounds to find out where it's headed in the future. Laney (himself a physician from Texas) says he comes in with a fresh perspective and a patient focus with his background. He says the next several weeks will be about both education and vision.

Laney is also President-Elect of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association.
