Diesel Reductions

Buchannan/Clinton Counties, MO (2009-08-10) Buchanan and Clinton counties will share in hundreds of thousands of federal stimulus dollars to reduce diesel emissions in the Kansas City region.

It's part of more than 4 hundred thousand dollars being split among a number of Northwest Missouri counties.

The Mid-America Regional Council will be distributing the funds among both public and private diesel fleet operators so they can buy emission-reduction technologies, fuel conversion kits, and engine replacements.

The Mid-America Regional Council is accepting applications via proposals from fleet operators, who will receive the money through a lottery process to be held in October.
