Spring Open Burning Session

The spring open burning session has been announced for St. Joseph and Buchanan County.

The burning session will start today and end April 29th. Public information officer for the city of St. Joseph Health Department Nancy Taylor say this is not field burning but burning in residential areas.

Taylor also says they would like residents to explore alternatives to open burning such as mulching or chipping or any other alternatives that will not contribute to air pollution. Again the spring open burning session for St. Joseph and Buchanan County will start today and end April 29th.
