Sobriety Checkpoints

Love

MARYVILLE, MO (2012-04-18)

Northwest Missouri State University Police are conducting sobriety checkpoints this month.

The checkpoints are designed to cut down on the number of impaired drivers in the community. University police chief Clarence Green says as long as driver's usage of other resources like the free safe ride van increases, this program will be a success.

So far university police has not conducted a checkpoint. University police will discuss the possibility of retaining the checkpoint program in the coming semester.
