This is the last day for the blood drive in Maryville.

The community blood center is coordinating the event, and is the sole provider of blood to the hospital in Maryville. Collection supervisor for Community Blood Center Heather Ryberg says all blood types are in demand, but they are especially needing O negative and B negative. Ryberg says spring drives in mild weather can bring out first-time donors.

The blood drive in Maryville is on the top floor of the university's Student Union and continues through this afternoon at 4.
