Household Hazardous Waste

Mullens

NODAWAY COUNTY, MO (2012-04-11)

This year's household hazardous waste and electronic waste collection will be Saturday, April 21st.

The waste drop off will be for Nodaway, Atchison, Holt, Gentry and Worth County residents. It will be held in the Nodaway County maintenance barn from 8 in the morning until noon. Some items being accepted are paint, pesticides, batteries, computers, televisions, and microwaves. Environmental planner for the Northwest Missouri Regional Council of Governments, Linda Laderout, says some waste can not be collected because it is already collected in more specific recycling collections.

Items not being accepted are tires, motor oil, syringes, medications, radioactive waste, explosive waste, and unknown waste. A photo ID must be show to prove residency. Again the waste drop off will be for Nodaway, Atchison, Holt, Gentry and Worth County residents, and will be held in the Nodaway County maintenance barn at 1516 East Halsey in Maryville from 8 to noon on Saturday the 21st.
