An Atchison Kansas man has been sentenced to nearly a decade in prison on 2 charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

Michael Gripping plead no contest to the charges in early March. They stem from 2 incidents in July of last year. The prosecutor had recommended consecutive sentences on both counts, claiming Gripping didn't show remorse. He had no prior criminal history.
