Student Employment

Wayman

MARYVILLE, MO (2011-04-11)

For the past several years a university in the United Kingdom has been exploring how to engage students as contributing partners to the community and it's taking the idea from north Missouri.

Birmingham City University leaders are benchmarking student employment at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville where they met recently with faculty and students. Stuart Brand is director of the Center for Learning Partnerships at the British school and says trying to model Northwest's student employment program has helped the students be more employable. Brand says the partnership in learning from the University in Maryville will continue.
