Travelers driving in and out of the west side of Stanberry, Missouri will soon encounter detours.
The town branch bridge, built in 1929 will be replaced this Summer with a new, wider bridge. According to Holly Murphy with Missouri Department of Transportation, U.S. Highway 136 will close not once but twice to accommodate the construction. The project is scheduled for completion is August. During both closures, MoDOT will re-direct motorists through detours to the north of Stanberry.
