MARYVILLE, MO (2011-04-08)
High school students across the region are getting ready for prom and schools are trying to make sure it's safe.
Law enforcers often stage drinking and driving accidents as one way to convince high school students to be safe even though 3,000 American high school students die in drunk driving crashes every year. Maryville High School Resource officer Josh McMillen says they are also emphasizing the financial costs. Maryville's prom is in about a month, May 7th, and students will also participate in a "Project Prom" after the event is over.
