MARYVILLE, MO (2011-04-15)
A unique partnership has formed in Maryville and cancer patients will benefit.
The 30 year old cancer center at St. Francis Hospital is being remodeled to give a more inviting and calming environment for patients. The re-design is being helped by students in a merchandising of furnishings class at the university in Maryville. Assistant professor overseeing the project Jean Memken says the project is an important one on the personal level. The hospital remodeling consists of a new reception room, restrooms, 3 exam rooms, a nurses station, and new chemotherapy rooms.
