A 189 million dollar bill funding Missouri's schools is sitting on the governor's desk.
The state Senate has approved two House bills which are supplemental budget bills to cover the remainder of this fiscal year. Senator Maria Nadal of the St. Louis area help pass the education funding and says it's important to continue even though it's been rising over the past several years. Lawmakers also passed funding for health and human services as well as social services in Missouri, that too awaits governor Nixon's signature.
