Food Stamp Challenge

Wayman

ST. JOSEPH (2011-04-04)

The new executive director of Second Harvest Community Food Bank in St. Joseph is launching a unique project this month.

David Davenport is vowing to live in April as a local resident on food stamps which translates to $25 a week. Davenport is trying to draw attention to just how little some residents dependant on the assistance program get for food. Davenport chose the average for our region, $25 in food stamps a week, and says he will also be blogging his budgeting giving us a chance to live and experience the challenges with him.
