ALBANY, MO (2011-04-29)
The hospital in Albany is participating in tomorrow's National Drug Take Back Day.
It's a chance for area residents to drop off any unwanted or expired prescription drugs. Northwest Medical Center spokeswoman Connie Worden says prescription drug abuse is higher in the US than cocaine, heroine, and hallucinogens combined and especially prevalent in rural America. But she says tomorrow's drug take back can protect everyone from harming the environment too. Albany's Drug Take Back will run from 10 to noon tomorrow at the Northwest Medical Center lobby.
