HOLT COUNTY, MO. (2010-4-9) This month marks the 50th anniversary of turkey season in Missouri.

This weekend the youth season opens. The adult hunting season starts on Monday the 19th. Holt County conservation agent Russ Shifflett says Northwest Missouri hunters should be pleased with this year's prospects. Again this year turkey hunting is a half-day window from half an hour before sunrise to 1 in the afternoon.
