TRENTON, MO. (2010-4-14) The Trenton city council has approved the city's budget.
Council members voted 5 to 3 to pass the budget as discussed. The new budget goes into effect on May 1st. Also at this week's meeting members rejected a proposal that would have regulated the sale of ephedrine and pseudoephedrine within the Trenton City limits. The City also purchased property at the Trenton municipal airport owned by Max Barnett for nearly $30,000, approved a contract with the Green Hills animal shelter for the next year, and approved an ordinance dealing with a class action laswsuit against alltel and the collection of taxes. That settlement is expected to net Trenton an extra $153,000.
